Bob Haxton is an artist, home designer and building contractor in Ashland Oregon. He studied art and design in college and then began designing and building high end homes in Venice beach California, Santa Barbara and then Ashland Oregon. For many years Bob in partnership with his wife Linda who is a real estate broker began building and selling homes with good success and loved the creative and artistic process of every project. With the extensive background in home design, Bob began abstract painting not only to expand his individual expression beyond drawing architectural plans but with the intention to enhance a viewer's personal connection to their space. Using techniques to layer paints, inks and washes, he builds dynamic layers of color and texture in a minimalist style. Often focused around a central meditative form, bold accents stand against fog and earth tones and crisp lines exist among freeform strokes.
