About The Artwork
The setting is Washington Square Park on a summer afternoon. I wanted to capture how the mist from the fountain veils the trees in the background, how the streams form ripples on the surface of the water, and how the figures in the foreground are partially in silhouette, in high contrast and detail as opposed to the figures at the far end of the fountain.
