About The Artwork
What I am attempting in every painting is nothing other than to overcome an either-or paradigm of thinking. I am compelled to find a positionless position through densely laden, visible brushwork of contoured forms rendered in a bright, opulent palette. In my work the line brings together with rhythmic expression, seeming divisions in perception and nature. Evan Abrahamson is an alumnus of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship.
