About The Artwork
In this work I wanted to pay tribute to one of the great artists that I most admire in art history: Masaccio. I recreated one of his most iconic works (expulsion from Adam and Eve from earthly paradise) and painted it on a photograph that I made of a famous supermarket called "Exito" located in Latin America south of the city of Bogotá here in Colombia. My purpose with this painting is to play and combine with works of universal art in common places in which I have lived and developed my work and at the same time make a social reflection and criticism. This work is framed and with the frame has dimensions of 38cm x 46cm or 15 ”x 18”
