About The Artwork

During my Big Overseas Travel in 1987 to 1989, as a young lady, I saw a lot of incredible things in the 12 countries I sailed to on board the MV Doulos. Amidst the beautiful, my eyes were opened to the poverty some people experienced... I told myself to never forget but to let me life count in making a positive difference somehow. So as an Artist, I created this piece to invite my fellow women to find ways we can help each other out be it in material form, knowledge, talents and abilities. Everyone has a gift, a talent and we need each other to be better, in this world. It is not defined by money, status or skin colour. We all have something someone else finds helpful, so wont life be more meaningful if we do just that? Helping others be the best they can be?
