A study of Raffles Hotel in ink and watercolour on vegetable parchment. A colonial family home built circa 1835. Two Armenian brothers later formed Raffles Hotel (1887) where bartender Ngiam Tong Boon would devise the Singapore Sling (1915) and the last wild tiger in Singapore would be shot and killed (13 August 1902).
