I painted this just before I started to make my Celebrations Series. It symbolizes letting in the light of optimism after a dark time. I was inspired to make this to celebrate the optimism that I feel. This painting has a layered surface made up of color on color to achieve a jewel-like effect. It is wired for hanging.
