About The Artwork

Blue Water Lilies, 1916-1919, is part of Water Lilies, a series of approximately 250 oil paintings by French Impressionist Claude Monet (1840–1926). The paintings depict Monet's flower garden at his home in Giverny, and were the focus of Monet's artistic production during the last thirty years of his life. The Scream is the popular name given to each of four versions of a composition, created as both paintings and pastels, by Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch between 1893 and 1910. "One evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the fjord below. I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the fjord—the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream. I painted this picture, painted the clouds as actual blood. The color shrieked. This became The Scream" Edvard Munch. Knowing all this, I really wanted to mix the peaceful Monet sensation with the despair of Munch and it was another unique challenge.

I have been drawing since I was a child, but I started painting a few years ago. I guess that life had to teach me some lessons before I could start painting. I had to live, feel and breathe different experiences that colored my soul so that I could paint from it. Though I didn’t explore art while studying Law at the University, my ambition and love for canvas and brushes guided me to learn all that I could about it. I’m always learning and creating, and I guess that is why I love painting so much. When I feel my contradiction I can create. When I create, there I am true. I believe that artists are defined by the work, passion and vision that is expressed in their creations. It is my mission to make your soul vibrate, each time you experience my art.
