About The Artwork
A contemporary take on still life painting, the imaginary ornaments resemble a female modernist sculpture/ figurine and some alchemical perfume or oil vessel or lamp. The glow, shadow and reflections from the lighting warms what would otherwise be a very cool atmosphere. The work is very stylised and like much of my painting somewhat unconsciously sexy with an after-hours feel. The scale makes for a very contemporary take on still life painting, the work is professionally framed in a thin contemporary white floating wooden frame.
