About The Artwork
One of a series of three paintings inspired by the tension and elements of and between being away at sea, away from home and city living. Also at play or thought are the meanings behind the word island and its inherent isolation/ism. I build many layers and different pictures, landscapes and ideas with acrylic paint and sand back through the paintings history and time manifesting sometimes familiar or sometimes abstract aesthetics.
