Indian Heaven Print

This Indian Summer I was backpacking in a beautiful Pacific Northwest forest, in a far away pristine area called Indian Haven. I put down my first impression on the canvas, my impressions of the clear, fresh water lake shining from behind the trees. The bright, even hot colors are bringing the warm and sunlight home. The medium is not your run-off-the-mill tempera. It's an ancient technique of egg-based tempera, that have survived through the ages on ancient works of art and brings stability and permanence with it. It is painted on an archived canvas, so the work can stay the way it is for centuries to come.
