About The Artwork
Ice Age is one painting in a collection I call Choice and Chance. The artwork is created through the effects of mindful choice, that is, decisions I make, and the results of blind chance, whereby mindless randomness creates its own effects. I, the artist, make choices about the size and shape of the canvas, the paint colors, and, unique to this painting process, the angle and degree of pressure I apply to a squeegee-like device that spreads randomly multiple colors over the canvas. The artwork arrives at your home or workplace ready to hang in whichever direction you choose---vertically or horizontally. The edges are painted light blue; no frame is needed.
