Five women, two rivers, horses and flowers are more, the most are the pyramids. The sun has set and the sand is still hot. From the "My Millefleur" series. I love flowers, David Hockney’s California landscapes, Rousseau’s "La Bohémienne endormie" and "Le Rêve", the medieval art in toto, Beatus of Liébana’s manuscript illuminations, I love Millefleur. The title "My Millefleur" refers to the late Gothic tapestry woven from wool and silk. The French term mille-fleurs, literally means thousand of flowers; it describes the specific tapestry style characterized by the floral decoration where different sorts of individual plants are shown with no regular pattern. I was greatly inspired by the series of six tapestries called "The Lady and the Unicorn", both by its aesthetics and allegories. A flower is a symbol of insignificance of things, spring, beauty, short-lived pleasure. Wild animals and other people surround a nude girl (nuditas virtualis). _______ The work will be shipped rolled in a tube. Work on paper, requires framing in a standard frame. Minimum frame size 70 x 100 cm (27.5 x 39.4 inch). Special materials used: gold leaf, metal leaf.

In my paintings I try to combine the sphere of physis, sensual pleasure, biology, and colors with symbolic elements evoking ontological and metaphysical meanings. My canvas constitute a mixture of textural and flat painting; Working on paper, I apply various techniques; I also press some parts of my linocuts. I am fond of order, symmetry and classic skills. At the same time, in painting and drawing I use techniques that allow chance decalcomania, grattage, dropping. At the first stage of my creative work I am quick and spontaneous. Then, at the next stages, I tame chaos and introduce order. As a result, my paintings form multilayer phenomenon. The layer of colors, regions of colors interactions constitute the foundation of my paintings. The material layer consists of the specific techniques I applied, textures, and deposits of paints. The layer of represented objects includes figures like woman, boy, tree, rhino. The layer of meanings consists of a story that usually finds no final on the picture.
