About The Artwork
BUCKET & SPADE Memories of being at the seaside as a child prompted me to paint this wonderful beach scene. Painted in oils with brush and palette knife in bright colours will cheer up any wall and bring a smile to anyone. Adding a touch of yellow to the sands added extra tones to the sands and surf, the waves were created using palette knife giving a loose abstract feeling which blends very well with the painting overall.

Marshall paints a wide variety of art mainly on canvas in acrylic and oils. Although having lived around the Mediterranean for many years is now settled in the UK and paints from his studio in Hereford. His love for drawing started from his school years but did not take up painting until later. His memories of living in Spain and the Greek islands has tempted him to paint a number of seascapes but also enjoys traditional and abstract work. Marshall likes to try his hand at different methods of applying paints and loves observing different techniques of other artists.
