About The Artwork
I painted these roses from a trip we made to the botanaical gardens. The roses are on full display in May. I handled the painting in an expressionist manner, slightly abstract to keep it energetic and exciting. I am inspired by Emil Nolde, Bonnard and other artist who paint from life. I gesso and stretch the canvas myself.
