I chose the subject as I was thinking about fireworks and how colourful they are, but that sometimes you just want them to shine in the sky. I tried to create that feeling of bold fireworks with a silver veil, I love to work in circular themes within my work, I am trying to understand why completely but think that it is something to do with life becoming full circle, how as a family we care and nurture each other and that everyone needs help at some point in their lives. I started this piece with an acrylic gesso, then dribbled acrylic ink in a circular motion. I used the oil sticks to create structure, then silver acrylic paint and foil paint to create my veil. I have protected the piece with a UV protective coating so that it will retain its colour for many years to come. I have included the cost of a floating frame for this piece, although I have painted the edges of the canvas so that it is ready to hang. Please let me know if you want a black, white or natural floating frame and I will have this made to order for you.

Hello I'm Tania, I live in rural Kent with my husband , grown up children and various animals. Having recently completed a degree in textiles, I have found that more and more I love to paint and draw, sometimes I use these images for fabrics but more often than not I just paint and loose myself in the moment. I like to work in layers, creating texture and interest with both liquid and paste medium, I use oil sticks, ink, powder paint and acrylic paints, I am very fond of metallic paints and foils and use them in a lot of my work. I use my life experiences, and the beautiful natural world around me for my inspiration. I find that I like to work at scale and don't often use a brush, preferring instead to use my fingers and squeegee or sponge. I am experimental and like to try different applications, materials and ways of working. I am always trying to get more texture in my work often resulting to sand, salt and plaster of Paris to achieve this. My work has been exhibited a Rochester Art Gallery, New Designers 2021 online and UCA Rochester graduate showcase. I currently sell my fabric textiles at various craft fairs and shops in Kent
