I want to show those viewing my art how trauma can create something completely unique, by opening minds to a visual representation of the damage that happens when a mind has been subjected to injury, to the point where there is a loss of synapses, neuronal changes that cause swelling and degeneration within the brain, and how those characteristics don't necessarily condemn an individual with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), to a life of unchanging struggles, but rather, TBI can be a gift allowing others to see how a damaged mind can change people’s concepts of the injury and re-shape misconceptions of a condition that is all too often associated with negativity. Mounting and Hanging is not included. I discovered a way to manipulate the fabric in a way that retains the designs I create on the fabric. While it is a highly volatile work upon its completion, there is no other way I have found that gives me the means to create giant art in this way. There has been no history to pull reference points from on any similar or past works, and to the best of my knowledge the technique is unique to me.
