About The Artwork

Abstract Artist Statement Agenda 21: I made art this 8 years ago 2013, this is the digital version 2021, my second Abstract, Abstract expresses, the imposed chaos and frustration of societal corruption of extreme power and control, abuse of power and an emotional process towards domestic violence, a sense of freedom from social engineering, and imposed trauma of this world, targeting and being present in this world in these times. The rise in domestic violence due to the losses from economy and pandemic, Globalist Governance. Jackson Pollock also influenced as art therapy, I saw his original art in Chicago, he influenced myself as a teenager,Abstract is my emotional response, flinging the paint to feelings of frustration, anger, my sorrow, grief, my first Abstract was when a friend took his own life in High school, it was painful., my first emotional response to teen suicide My Art teacher understood, and supported. I made abstracts after school. in the art class room. Abstract as to when I feel the emotions flood in, understanding the process, over whelmed as being frustrated and the feelings of being fearful as powerless, Abuse of power in a sometimes very cruel , hostile and unfair world, feeling vulnerable to feeling a sense of empowerment and release from these emotions. I called the Art work Agenda 21 and look at all the Violence and tension that has come to this world. I had no idea of the foreshadowing of present day times, I sensed it the tension and disharmony as violence and chaos. It was at the time of this painting, I witnessed domestic violence, I had to face reporting it, in the home I was renting and giving notice ,at shaking and crying up in my room and flinging the paint on the canvas, I stood up to the abuser, I was in danger, a high stress time, it was not a safe environment, it breaks away from the traditional representation of everyday objects and familiar subjects as nature I am recognized for. I am Thankful for the friends and family that got me through this horrific time and glad I went away on retreat with privacy and safe from this kind of exposure and do not need to deal with other people's drama and violence, where I am living. I also have better tenancy laws to protect me now, I am grateful for having privacy and the ability to process these emotions with art . "Karen Colville Artist.
