About The Artwork
'Hanging There' I was inspired during Covid 19, thinking of us, humanity standing still in time. Globally! The cocoons are a message of hope, in making a butterfly the archetype symbol of the soul. This is an indoor installation, the materials used are mostly enamelled copper wires for the colours and the natural tarnish-resistant brass and copper wires. These installations can be made bespoke using a variety of colour palettes on request. Suitable for outdoors garden installations. Inspired by pollen macrographs, spider Webbs, I tried to weave the wires into organic shapes the repeated patterns sometimes almost invisible found in nature.
