Reconciliation Print - Limited Edition of 10

This piece represents a series of digital compositions in which all of the parts blend seamlessly together, while emanating the textures of ripped paper and ink marks commonly found in analog collage. My goal with those artworks was to make the viewer question not only what medium they were really looking at - digital collage, analog collage, or even photography? - but also to make them see what was not there. By placing and scaling the elements I created a sense of perspective, an illusion, where ripped paper became an urban landscape. The topic of reconciliation was inspired by personal events, including the character longing to be included and yet - deliberately or by chance - forgotten and ignored. The intention is for the audience to decide, and the usage of graffiti adds an angle to analyze it from and question its two- or three-dimensionality.
