About The Artwork
1000mm wide x 1200mm high, 39 inch x 47inch high, Mixed media and Oil on board. This work is based on the concept of mother, where we all comes from. The universal motherhood is displayed in this artwork. I've started by creating a collage of photo's I took. The collage contains images of mothers an their children, then painted over in oils the strength of the african mother. She's a warior in a different sense. Like the Masai and the Zulu cultures the mother is revered. This work took months to complete as it had to develop in it's own time...
