All of the photographs that make up this image are photos I have taken. The tiger was at the Safari Park in Escondido and the flowers (roses) are form a friend's garden. I call the print 'King Tiger' as a play on words, as it is the opposite of 'Tiger King.' Tigers are globally listed as “Endangered” on the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. The Malayan and Sumatran sub-species are listed as “Critically Endangered.” Wild tigers are hunted to meet the demands of the $20 billion a year illegal wildlife market.
