tribute to basquiat Painting

Currently working fiercely with sketchbook and observing images inverted (inverted image through other side of page ) .Working with a high energy and less reflective technique. Frustration and anger , trusting and releasing , recently having lost a friend from suicide and this artist seemed to be around my work at a later time and trying to understand the areas, layers between the forms and symbols that are resting in his high energy style . I feel with Basquiat that even though he was famous his audience was just one person watching over him- recently had a sad month with a friend committing suicide that was also an artist . it is the connections to medicine and climate that i find fascinating writing the words carbon many times . Also a swimming membership was charging me while i was away in romania for 3 months about 65 pounds each month!! when i could have allowed the person who died use the facility but everywhere is corporate and complicated due and lacks flexibility. Spas are the best places for depression and very understated for this . Would love to one day have my own lawn tennis club/ spa and autism pool , salt water zone and light therapies. i was so so angry with this spa that basquiat and the bowie exhibition was on Sky t.v in the lounge while i was painting so mixing those two together with rage I perhaps went a bit krooning also..krooning crazy !! Will be looking into graffiti in the near future having a discussion with a bailiff to practise on bankrupt shops and shutters so more to come x
