About The Artwork
In Palehorse, the shapes appear to be organic and the surface looks like skin. As in every painting, the objects are flat but simulate volume and life. In most of my paintings, the background does not appear as an airy space, but as a mass that competes with the form, as the surrounding space now becomes a body itself. In our everyday world we perceive objects as something solid and the surroundings as atmosphere. I reverse this relationship in my paintings.
