About The Artwork
A study of Thian Hock Keng Temple 天福宫 Singapore's oldest & most important Hoklo temple, the"Temple of Heavenly Happiness", was built by sea-weary migrant's. It's dedicated to Taoist seagoddess Mazu, protector of seamen, & Kuan Yin, bodhisattva of mercy. This work is created in ink and watercolour on vegetable parchment.
