This is one of my retro family portrait series, where I pick old photographs from my family album, which are slightly off, either because they are out of focus or over exposed or in any other sense not the typical family photo. I try to then strengthen these aspects... Memories are always subject to reshaping by our minds... so that's what I also try to build into the painting process, which is also a shaping process.
