About The Artwork
When I do abstracts it's usually the result of an image that comes to mind, as in this case. I knew it would be bright colors and once I had the general shape, I let intuition take over. I used brushes, paint sticks, and my hands to apply the paint. It feels like the natural tendency of cycles in humanity/nature, and in this particular one for certain substances to rise weightless. I see it as a hopeful statement about humanity and our earth.
