Temper Painting

“Temper” was created using watercolours on paper. My initial intention with this collection was to convey feelings and emotions through the colours and shapes within each painting whilst creating something visually pleasing and that would create a statement in any room. I was inspired by work that I had done years before at school, where I studied hyper realism. A lot of those artists did work surrounding marbles because of the intricate details, of which I have experimented with. I wanted to create similar concepts in this artwork and the others in this collection but instead used watercolour to give it more of a pop art feel. I hope the viewers will look at each artwork and in their own way figure out the connection emotionally between the artwork and its title I hope the viewers will look at each Artwork and feel what I was trying to convey between the peace and its title Artwork and feel what I was trying to convey between the piece and its title. Funnily enough, “Temper” was created in reflection of a petty row I had with my boyfriend. He is a Redhead and so every time I look at this, it reminds me of him.
