About The Artwork
'Requiem for the Sea.' There is a Biblical phrase regarding the future, 'and there will be no more sea'. As a dweller on the Maritime Edge since my birth I find this profoundly sad, hence my requiem. Techy stuff: my poor model had to hang from the studio beams so that I could get her feet right. Her milky skin and flame hair are accurately rendered. the items in the foreground are ancillaries to the Cadgwith lobster fishing industry.
