I am inspired by the world around. That can be anything: a nice picture, a chat with someone, something I see when I walk in the fields in the neigbourhood, in the garden... I hope people will be happy when they see my work, and see how beautifull flowers are when you make them very large! I think the subject has chosen me. I cannot remember anymore why I did choose this subject. I just love flowers and plants and I am happy when I see beautifull flowers and plants and trees.

I was born in 1949 in Utrecht (Holland) and live in Houten, near Utrecht. I have a little atelier 3,50x6.00 meters there and make big paintings in oil on canvas and drawings from flowers, plants and portrets in oil. I give courses and workshops in painting. My inspiration is nature and I paint that very large in oil. I am happy to have a garden with all kind of flowers, but specially beautifull poppies! I paint and draw them always. I love it!!! But I am fond of flowers anyway!!
