About The Artwork
Using my signature pearls and playing with volumes, I portray here the decision to symbolically take the threaded needle and sew the wounds in our souls. The title 《Ocho》 (Eight) is a play with the apparent shape of the composition. Initially I signed it with my name, but later, living a very complicated time with my family I decided to change my name, and I added my new signature 《Atusa Dayani》, signature that maybe soon will be my official name. This painting is the transition.
