About The Artwork
I was at a concert one summer night in the NYC Central Park. It was The Yardbirds and they sounded wonderful. While waiting for them to play, I took pictures of the trees and the buildings beyond them. Many days later I did two paintings. The first one was before I had my photographs printed, so I imagined what it looked like. Then a week later I got the photos and made a painting that looked like it for real. That is this picture.

I am a painter, photographer, printmaker and book artist. My current work consists of collages which I scan and make gel transfer prints from (in limited editions of 10). Often there is a story for each image or series of images. I also make unique artist books using these same images. I have been writing a science fiction story called "Pilgrimage" which is loosely based on "The Canterbury Tales." The square collages are all about the 11 travelers whose plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness. As they spend days trekking to the nearest air base, they tell stories about their childhood and other personal events to each.
