About The Artwork
Birds' Nest represents the ability to cope with the changes and dangers all around us in nature - for our children we have to. The nest seems warm and round and protective and that's how the blackbird mom meant it to be, but taking a closer look it is not only made of straws and twigs, but also of iron wire, electricity threads and plastic binders. Human waste products. This poses a threat, for instance because of the plastic: rainwater can't escape.

I was born on Friday the 13th in The Hague. In 2000 I settled, in an old farm in the South of France where I work full time as an artist. In general I create large size transparent abstract watercolours, work on my Ever Evolving work of art (a 6 meter fresco) and on 3D projects in nature.
