This painting tries to capture the feeling of driving along Pacific Coast Highway(PCH) in Malibu north past familiar landmarks on the right and the ocean on the left. This is part of a series of paintings about Malibu I painted from 2003 to 2006, about 15 original paintings in total. You can see the head of a girl driving the car; she is the main character in the story that these paintings tell. Cruising up PCH, relaxed, the colors are vibrant, the sun starting to set. Random Movistar homes whiz by If you sit in a chair with this painting on the wall in front of you, you'll feel like you're driving up Pacific Coast Highway.
