About The Artwork
Inspiration is taken from walks in local woodlands, having time to rewire with nature and our natural surroundings and feeling the spiritual connection. I start by using very loose splodges and brushstrokes and start to refine with an over layer technique of translucent paint washes, Pen and Ink is used to illustrate more detailed imagery; I look at the work and let my imagination find naturally occurring more subtle hidden depictions of faces and creatures that are woven into the layered work then I enhance them to build an ethereal dream like quality.
