Leafy abstract Painting

I have been inspired by the paper cut-outs of Matisse and was able to view his house in France and see his lounge chair where his ideas fermented. A small abstract art can spike an emotion or a curiosity as to why you like it. Having it in your environment and looking at it brings in thoughts and creativity, such as lines, colours and spaces that can affect you. I choose this format of painting on paper and adhering it to a wooden frame as it gives me time to imagine what I will paint and remove what I feel is not part of my idea at the time. I take several weeks or more to keep developing the painting by standing back and seeing it in a new perspective.
