About The Artwork
"Good Shepherd” was inspired by a combination of travels in Iceland and Biblical studies. In Iceland, I was captivated by the terrain juxtaposed with its inhabitants. The title “Good Shepherd” is a reference to Biblical scripture in the book of John. John 10:14-15 states, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me - just as the Father knows me and I know the Father - and I lay down my life for the sheep.” The shepherd is not merely doing a job. He tends the sheep out of love. He owns the sheep and is committed to them. This painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, display wire, hanging hardware, and a paper dust cover.
