This three-visual-layer concept of which this painting roughly consists took place during the painterly process.

The first layer is represented by the red, blue, yellow and gray polygons. This polygonal layer forced me to ad a kind of visual response or intervention to it.

That resulted into a second layer; white, hard edged lines, similar to a irregular grid. They limit, sharpen, or combine the colored polygons underneath. Some lines cross the polygons despite their shape and seem to stand on a higher altitude.

The third level. With the small black acute-angled triangles I wanted to set an accent and emphasize the whole composition with this black highlights.

About The Artwork

The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity.

claudiokoeppel.com ________________________ With my artworks I try to make the invisible visible. Depict things alternatively than experienced obviously in everyday life. Aspects like history, physics, biology and psychology extend my endless research for unique creations and its meanings. Over all, I understand this as a visual poetry. Formaly seen, it is about the tension between abstraction and figuration; a miraculous field in which I move.
