I’ve been fascinated by the habits of bears lately and I decided to challenge myself to paint a bear underwater checking out the fish selection. I chose oils and realism because the visual effects of the murky pond water were tricky and called for realistic rendering. My goal is to bring the viewer a rare and nearly impossible glimpse of an unseen event.
