Drishti Painting #1 Painting

This painting DP #1 is the first painting in a new series I have begun now in 2022 called the Drishti Paintings. The word drishti comes from Sanskrit and is often used in yoga practice as a reference to a single spot for the yoga practitioner to focus on in order to maintain our balance. I have called this series of paintings the Drishti Paintings and they have been created to invite the viewer on a visual journey inwards, into our own alignment, re-connecting to the love within ourselves, re-connecting to the Drishti within ourselves… There are several inspirational factors that are based on the key elements I found to be most helpful in my personal healing journey, that is: Space, Focus, and Connection. Each of these concepts have been applied visually to this painting and each of them in this new series. The series and the paintings are evolving as I go, so you will see that this first painting is where I learned a lot but is also not like the other paintings. Its stands alone, unique, and part of the journey and learning of this exploration in painting the frequency of well-being.
