Distorções - Torre II Painting

This watercolor is part of the Distortion Series, which I've been working on lately. I create some distorted images, trying to change their essence. This is the Eiffel Tower in an interesting movement distortion. I use watercolor and ink (as in this tower) when I feel the need to highlight some details of the work. Watercolor is a very flexible material, it creates its own distortions on paper. This forces me to reflect on the changes I must make in the effects that I had previously planned. I often review Escher’s drawings. In fact, I try to create spontaneous and personal deformations in my own works, but a good research is a much needed tool for my own discipline. I hope that the viewers can see my subjects that in the same way I saw them in my mind…
