Dead Mantra Painting

I was asked to create a mural for a very popular nightclub in Shoreditch and felt it was a bit too good for that place, the brief was simply 'make it tribal', so i repainted it. The piece has a hidden meaning, hidden from the clientele of the awful nightclub it was designed for, the name Dead Mantra comes from the fact that it is a beautiful girl, as one encounters in Shoredtich, with a dead animals skull on her head. Representational of these soon to die fashions these people parade around as if they were the first person to think of it. Painted on board using acrylic, oil, blue variegated gold leaf and spray paint. the recess on the rear is around five centimetres deep enabling very easy hanging.
