About The Artwork
My niece Claudia, who died in car crash on her seventeen, inspired this artwork. It is the tale of her brief but shining existence, the joy of her smile, the sweetness of her eyes. I've always had the geometry as an integral part of my work. The background, in acrylic, is an allegorical geometry of her passage in this world. The lovely face is not painted or drawn but formed only by the luminous powders of colored glitter that come together to reform the appearance of a image dispersed in the flow of my memory.
