About The Artwork
I experienced this blue, luminous light on the Isle of Skye and now here in Canada along the Pacific Northwest. This painting is from Port Edward near Prince Rupert in British Columbia. It is a beautiful, natural and wild place and this is the area where Enbridge wants to take their oil pipeline through British Columbia in order to export the oil to China. The future damage to the environment and wildlife will be a monumental tragedy if it is allowed to go ahead. Once again, politicians and financiers don't care at all!

I was born in South Africa and then studied for at Rhodes University under professor Brian Bradshaw. I lived in Northwestern British Columbia, Canada for 9 years. and during that time opened an art gallery (with gift shop), and a working studio where I painted and taught people to do the same. Although being a landscape painter using pastel has been a lifelong love, I now explore other media in an effort to express my strong thoughts and emotions\ .
