A ceramic, ornate wood stove glass door reveals the burning embers of a fire... How I long for it... the warmth of a fire roaring in the wood stove... the stone hearth warm under my feet... it's home to me... family... It keeps us from the cold and dark of the world... of strangers who wish us ill will... do unto us their ill will... I long for the safety and comfort I can see and feel... to be brought in from the cold darkness and my feet placed on the warm hearth once again.
