Black and White-Wolf in the Headlights Painting

As a child I was afraid to be out in the woods at night. I felt so unprotected from predators like the wolves. A few times when walking down the trails around our woods after dark, my flashlight would just catch a glimpse of one of those creatures... bad nights were when I didn't move the light fast enough away from them and the light would catch their eyes... those eyes that would then reflect the light back at me. Here, the light is only showing me the tail, back legs, part of the torso, and front paws as the wolf is walking away from me... in the dim relfection I can't make out his eyes, but only the outline of his face... that is frightening enough. Somehow though he is leaving... I have been spared form being devoured whole by him... and thankful that he has turned away from me without further interest... He has had his fill already... I might have otherwise been lost.
