About The Artwork
Encounters take place everywhere, be it on earth or in the universe. For my artistic work is the geometric shape an important part. Bright clay structures in various shades of contrast with white and black. In the beginning everything happend very impulsively and then went into more conscious painting. The geometric shape of the square meets the circle and the color black meets withe. The square is one of the most important forms in painting and brings calm and clarity to the picture. The circle is the symbol of infinity has no beginning and no end. The line deliberately used here was injected with an impulsive gesture and gives the artwork strenght, harmony and balance. The work is intended to trigger imagination and dynamic associations in the viewer and take him to the edge of his imagination.

Irene Gärtner is living and working in Switzerland. She graduated from art school and continues to attend further education with well-known artists. In her studio she produced larg-format of abstract works. Her big passion is experimenting with the most diverse materials, wich always provides exciting new textures. This is a long process until color, form and composition are correct. She finds inspiration in traveling, in the perception of nature and personal reflection.
