I went with my husband to one of the beautiful North Italian lakes last spring.
It was a lovely but very windy day and the blossoms from the almond trees were flying in the wind. I made a photo - but I had to make this painting too.
I hope it will remind you of a nice day you spent somewhere in nature.
I have used a little gold acrylic paint to make reflexes.
The canvas is painted on the sides - ready to hang - and it needs no frame.
Detail of the flowers.

I was born in Denmark, and have been drawing and painting since early youth. I have lived in Germany and France, where I had my own fashion brand. I moved to Italy in 2000 and decided to give up fashion design and devote myself full-time to painting -- a decision I have never regretted. My chief source of inspiration are the many diverse cultures I have come across during my numerous trips. I always loved beautiful textiles, but I also draw inspiration from the shapes and color combinations of the traditional arts of China, Korea and Japan, and African and Oceanic tribal art. And I should not forget to add that I just love flowers and gardens - always an inexhaustible source of inspiration. I hope that the my paintings convey to the viewer something of the visual stimulation and excitement that I feel when I have created a new work.
