Another in my ongoing Tula series of paintings.....the acrylic collage piece was inspired by an image from 1950 that captured many of the memories I have of striking women from that era. Playful, elegant and self ware, the simplicity of shape and form in this painting give it a presence and energy that is contagious. Tula is an expert in knowing how to make an average day exceptional. She alone sets the tone for each day. Whether the day is spent quietly at home or out in the public eye, She recognizes that she alone is in charge of her reactions, attitude and feelings.
