Growing up in American in the 70s was a trip... the music was fantastically expressive... funk was the rage. Here is my "impression" of what I remember as a standard of what I remember seeing on Soul Train and American Bandstand... a man with fro making love to the mic crooning out soulful lyrics to the funky beat... in colors of the day... burnt oranges, copper, army greens, etc.
